[One day, Haldir will wake up to discover that, of all things, a deer has been left in front of the door to the tree house. A buck with a decent rack, and a ribbon tied around its neck. No clue has been left of who it's from, though it seems more impressive the person managed to drag it up the rope ladder than actually kill it.]
[Haldir had been quite surprised by the finding the deer literally left at his doorstep. Nothing like this had happened before, while he had been here. The fact that the person was able to bring it up the rope ladder was impressive.
The only real clue he had to go with was the ribbon tied around its neck. He found that peculiar, but understood it was meant as a clue. After taking care of the deer, Haldir went to investigate who left it behind. After approaching several vendors he had been pointed in Beleth's direction.
With the ribbon in his hand, he went to Beleth's place, unannounced.]
[When Beleth heard someone arriving to the greenhouse, she looked up from her attempts at repotting. Seeing who it was, a bright smile grew on her face, that lasted all of several seconds, before she quite suddenly noticed the ribbon that was in his hand. If Haldir hadn't known before, he certainly would now, because the smile disappeared, and her face paled, save a bright red in her cheeks. She quickly cleared her throat, and turned back to face the spindleweed, trying to gently ease the roots out of the pot that had grown too small.]
Ah--Haldir! What a surprise to see you today. Were you looking for more herbs? The spindleweed here is growing pretty slowly--Think it needs more water--but everything else has been absolutely blooming. If you tell me what you need it for, I can find it and get some.
[She chattered away hurriedly. Oh, Creators. He knew. He knew the deer was hers. What was she going to do. What was she going to say? What if he laughed?? By the Dread Wolf himself, she was not prepared for this.]
