It wasn't every day that Haldir got to spend time with Lord Celeborn...especially during a patrol. He looked forward to those moments. Lord Celeborn had always been like a father to Haldir and helped raised him when he was young. Now that he was Marchwarden, he didn't get that opportunity to spend time with Lord Celeborn. When he did it was always business.

The Elf waited at the appointed spot for Lord Celeborn. His brothers had gone off to lead the rest of their patrol unit and they would eventually met at the end of the day. When Lord Celeborn did arrived he bowed before him and greeted him with their traditional manner. "My Lord, it is a pleasure to be at your side today."

Haldir gave a nod in agreement, a troubled expression filled his eyes before they became neutral once more. The added news concerned him deeply, although it helped explain why this was going on.

"I had Rumil and Orophin branch out on different patrols, hoping that will help. I will be sure to increase our patrols some more."

He saw that expression but said nothing. Haldir had plenty reason for it, but he also trusted the Marchwarden to hold to his discipline. Celeborn inclined his head, approving of the forethought and action Haldir had taken even before his order.

"I will speak with them when they return." And Galadriel, who could see further than he could.

"I've heard whisperings about the enemy possible having returned. I only chose not to say anything because I wanted more proof. A simple ripple can spread and change quickly before it reaches the ear." Haldir commented after a long pause. He began to wonder if he had made a mistake in not mentioning it sooner.

A flicker of pride touched him at the wisdom of his Marchwarden, even as it clashed with dread. Celeborn stepped around a tree branch, a light touch to the bark in wordless greeting.

"Your judgement is sound. Trust it." Light praise for what was earned. "Where have you heard of its return?"

"We are heading in the direction," Haldir replied and bowed his head briefly in gratitude. "It's toward the end of the boarder where we found the recent orcs."
